Atelier Playa Mujeres is a luxury resort located in Playa Mujeres, which is an exclusive / gated beach area just north of Cancun, Mexico.

Located just 30 minutes north of Cancun Airport – Playa Mujeres is known for its beautiful white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters.

Welcome Party

The welcome party is “All-White” resort chic/cocktail. Button downs and shorts for men, cocktail dresses for women – an ensemble that perfectly complements the tropical ambiance. Yes — off white and super light khakis work as well! Just be light and bright!

Ladies: As our event will be on a wooden deck at La Punta Deck, consider wearing a thicker heel.

Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony and reception are formal resort attire. We invite you to join in on the wedding’s color palette of elegant neutral tones, near neutrals, or soft pastels. Of course, blacks and greys are neutrals as well.

Fellas: It does not need to be a tuxedo, but please dress to impress.

Ladies: We know you will look fabulous. Please no ultra short dresses or anything too revealing. It gets windy out there!

Outdoor Events

All of our events will be held outdoors. It will be HOT, so do consider lighter fabrics such as linen and cotton.

Restaurants

Most of the sit-down restaurants have a dress code in place and they range from “relaxed casual” to “resort elegant”.

Check-in is at 3PM. A bellboy will take your bags as you depart your shuttle and direct you to the lobby reception desk.

Pack your resort necessities (swim, spf, sunnies) in a carry-on bag so you can change into if your room isn’t ready yet.

You’ll be able to use the resort facilities outside of the check-in and check-out times.

On check-out day, if you have a later flight, you’re welcome to use the hotel facilities until you depart. Check-out is at 12PM.

YES, upon booking your stay with Atelier, unlimited food and top-shelf drinks for your entire stay is included. There are minibars and snacks that are included in all rooms.

There may be a few additional costs such as the spa, golf, the Maria Dolores restaurant, or if you want a specific bottle of wine with dinner that will come at an additional cost.

Atelier uses a dinner reservation system. When you check in, feel free to ask the front desk to make a couple reservations for you. There are also kiosks located around the resort to place reservations. You can also walk up a restaurant and see if they have availability. We generally walked by and put our name down for an earlier dinner, and was always seated.

We enjoyed Los Abrazos (steakhouse), Cilento (italian), Takeshi (asian), and Bikini Azul (poolside).

Non-motorized watersports are included at the resort. Please check with the hotel to see what activities are available.

Guests within our room block can receive 10% off massages and facial services at the NUUP Spa at Atelier.

There is a golf course attached to the resort. Clubs may be rented for an additional fee. Tee times can be booked through the resort. Please check back next year for discounted tee times for guests within our room block.

There are two pools at the resort, a more active Main Pool, and a quiet pool by building 3. Choose your vibe, choose your pool.

At the end of May, Cancun enjoys warm and tropical weather. The average high temperatures range from around 85°F to 90°F (29°C to 32°C), while the average lows are between 75°F and 80°F (24°C to 27°C). It's generally a sunny time, with about 6 to 7 hours of daily sunshine.

Yes! Make sure your passport is valid within 6 months of your return date. If it’s expiring soon or if you need a new passport, apply for one immediately. Passport processing time is taking much longer than normal due to the recent surge in travel.
